Why do we use A13 as the entry-level budget tablet pc 9 inch solution ?

A13 is based on BQFP (quad flat package with bumper ) in IC encapsulation, while its competitors use the expensive way of BGA (ball grid array ). That's why A13 wins the entry-level market and why we use it.

Why do we use 9 inch 800x480 pixels instead of 10.1 inch or 9.7 inch ?

Becasue 9 inch 800x480 pixels LCD panels were used for a more competitive market--portable DVD, it is widely available and the price is much lower compared with that of 10.1 inch and 9.7 inch, however, its viewing area is almost as big as that of 10.1 inch.
